Pot Limit Omaha and vlogs!!
July 8, 2007 on 5:30 pm | In General | No CommentsYup - I’ve moved with the times and I’m now able to make a vlog. I’ve done a couple so far and apart from being dull and boring the’re fine!! Gee I’m nervous enough doing these things so it may take a few for me to warm up but hey let’s try something outside the comfort zone for once!.
I meant to play in the APAT last night but unfortunately I missed the start so I decided to do a bit of update on my new Video Library which collects the best of the vlogs and video news out there and brings them into one nice space. When it got to about 10.00 and the wine was going down nicely I decided to play the low limit pot limit omaha game on Iron Duke. This was only a $3.30 buy in and there were just 58 players and boy this lot just couldn’t get their chips in fast enough and the game was complete in about 90 mins which is about the same as a 9 handed SNG on Stars!. I lost a few chips early and was just 5 from the bottom when I went on a sick rush and ended up chip leader with about 2 thousand more chips than the second player. Apart from the odd spell I pretty much kept this up for the whole tournament and my favourite hands of 4,5,6,7 etc seemed to hit straights nearly every time and when they didn’t I had a boat! Unfortunately I messed it up at the heads up stage but basically I had a blast and got back 11 times my buy in so I was a happy bunny!
I’m currently playing $10 that Absolute Poker gave me as a freebie with the objective of giving the proceeds to Bad Beat on Cancer at the end of the year but I keep getting caned in the $1.20 SNG NLHE so with my stack now just under $7 I am forced to play the $0.50+$0.10 games to try and build things back up. After last nights PL Omaha game I decided to play a PL Omaha SNG and I duly registered. Unfortunately as the game was taking a while to fill up I went and had lunch and watched the motor racing and then my son alerted me to the fact that the pc sounded like it was playing poker. (its good to get the kids trained young these days - he’s only 4). I turned up at the game during the level 3 and with just 6 players left and whilst I never got into the lead on this game I managed to get my chip stack up so I was in 2nd place for almost all the time that I was there. I’ll have to give the PLO another go soon as it seems to be my best game at the moment.
I’ve already signed up for the UK Football Fans league game later this evening at PokerStars and I am considering playing the Freeroll Army game on Betfred which is a rebuy tourney ( I hate those) but they have $100 added prize money with 10 prizes and the last couple of events they have only had 10 players so everyone gets paid!
